David comes costumed as a middling status craftsman and shows, with his authentic equipment, all the stages of binding a book in an appropriate historic style - 15th, 16th or 17thC.

For a fee to cover the cost of consumables visitors can make their own simple bound pamphlet "commonplace" book using hand made paper. A few simple carved wooden and rubber blocks and a small selection of printers type will be available for personalisation of the book.

See the presentation D3 A craftsman: The Bookbinder for more details of the bookbinding equipment.
