This
two-day Fair is one of the main events commemorating the 700th anniversary
of the death of William Wallace, who lived, married and first drew
sword for Scotland in the Royal and Ancient Burgh of Lanark.
The
Fair takes place on the weekend closest to his actual date of execution.
It is being held in three inter-connected sites, all situated on
the edge of the town centre, and all next to well-known sites or
monuments linked to Wallace.
