Traquair Medieval Fair

Traquair House, Innerleithen, near Peeebles, Peeblesshire, Scotland.

The Fifth annual Medieval Fayre this year promises to be a bigger event than ever before due to generous support from Scottish Borders Council.

The Fayre will transport you back to a past when Traquair played an important role as a hunting lodge for the Scottish royals and a centre of music and arts.

The programme, which is currently being finalised, will include the following highlights:

Jousting on the main avenue with the Knights of the Damned
Falconry
Demonstrations of ancient crafts and skills in the house including bookbinding textiles, scribes and tapestry.
Living History encampment Medieval Traders, Archery, Minstrels, Jesters, and strange ramblings from Master Mandrake and Mistress Crabtree.
