JORVIK VIKING FESTIVAL

In 2006 the Jorvik Viking Festival celebrates its 21st birthday. The twin themes for the 2006 programme are education and drama. Look out for living history, poetry workshops, lectures, walks, films, longship racing and more. The festival kicks off with a special weekend for children, including lots of fun craft activities and creative writing events. Throughout the week enjoy a chance to discover more about the Vikings with markets, workshops, lectures and special evening events. On the 25th February witness the Vikings invade for battle and a spectacular new finale event. Further details of the Festival will be added to this website once confirmed.
