WARS OF THE ROSES

Weald Country Park, South Weald, Brentwood, Essex. CM14 5QS


This is Living History & challenging combat event with the Medieval Siege Society is set in a beautiful, unspoilt 500-acre country park area near Brentwood, Essex. The Weald Country Park is steeped in history. It was once a deer park and used for hunting by the Abbots of Waltham in around 1063. It has been the site of a great hall with formal gardens and there are even the remains of an Iron Age settlement which dates from the 1st century BC. Follow the brown County Park signs from the Junction 28 turn off - by rail Brentwood Station is about two miles from the park.
Facilities include toilets, shop, refreshments, picnic area.
