| Want
to know more about the history of Great Britain? Throughout
the UK for most of the weekends in the year there is something
happening - Jousts, Seiges, Battles, Historic Markets and Fairs,
Talks and Living History Displays
showing the way people lived in the past. Re-enactors and Living
Historians re-create how things were in the past by wearing
historic clothing and taking part in various historic activities.
See a different aspect to your history that you don't often
see in the museums. There are things you can touch and try out
(if you are invited too) and real people to answer your questions.
Our
Events 2007
We make their living
out of attending many of these events and we list all the events
that we will be attending either as Market Traders or Living
Historians here. Just follow the link. Our living history events
and trading events have links to the organisers web sites where
possible so that you can pre-book or find directions.
Historic
Events Guide
We now have devised
a dedicated website for the Historic
Events Guide 2007/8 where you can look for events
in your part of the UK and some other nearby European countries.
We hope that this will grow into a definitive list of all events
that have some Re-enactment /Living History content here in
the UK.
Markets
2007
A definitive list
of of Histpric Markets and Fairs with details of the organisers,
compiled on behalf of the Historic
Traders Branch of the National
Market Traders Federation.. There is some overlap with our
lists here but we can't go to them all. Note: Not all fairs
have markets. |
