Here is my first woodcarving project. A nice easy wood to start with. I thought I would (pun) make something useful. I sell sterling silver jewellery at historic fairs. In the middle ages it was very normal to have a sign advertising your wares (or even to show the house you lived in) because very few people could read. I though a wooden ring with the numbering "925" on it could serve as a sign outside my tent. he significance of "925" is that is quantity of parts per thousand of silver in "sterling silver".
